Anika Sejpal, is an Indian American 12th grader who is passionate about filmmaking and expressing herself. She wrote and directed her short film 'Connection' during a film camp in the middle of the Lockdown. Since then, filmmaking has become a part of her everyday life. Having made over 15 films, and now Co-president and member of her high school's Cinema Conservatory, Anika has received artistic recognition on a national, and international level. Anika is also a cellist and an avid photographer which informs her filmmaking sensibility. Since the making of her first film, her best friend and her have formed a film company to tell unique, personal stories. She just finished production on her latest narrative short film “You’re Like Me But Pretty” which stars Anika, and tells the story of what it's really like to be a high schooler in the 21st century. Anika hopes to tell well informed, diverse, and modern stories ranging from experimental film, documentary, and traditional narrative filmmaking.
